Hi all,

I have a 130 tub in the backyard collecting dust.

I saw this trailer (http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hazelwood-north/trailers/6x4-trailer/1078821442) come up in my local area, and wondered whether it would make a suitable rolling chassis for the 130 tub to turn it into a general-use trailer for runs to the tip etc. Nothing fancy required.

I know the tub will extend over the rear of the frame by about 25cms - is that a major problem?

I'm not sure about the width.

I'd be grateful for any advice....I'm a complete trailer novice - but want to move quickly on the trailer if its likely to be suitable.

Can anyone spot whether they are Land Rover hubs? That would be a bonus.

It wouldn't be to hard to make it fit. I currently fitting a 130 tub to a No5 army Chassis. It wont go all the way to the front of the trailer as the wheel arches aren't central. This will make the trailer back heavy so will need to put some weight forward like a storage box or spare wheel. All in all the tubs are pretty easy to mount with just bolts front and rear. The other thing to check would be the distance between the wheels to see if they will fit under the tub. The wheel hubs look the standard LM early holden pattern.
