View Full Version : D4 wheel lock nuts, how to identify?

Hi guys,

I'm doing a pre trip check and went through the tool kit that comes with the car as i've yet had to do a wheel change. Turns our LR have not given me a wheel nut wrench, glad I checked as it would've left me high and dry! I'll grab an aftermarket one today hopefully (assuming they are standard?).

It's got me worried though that they've also left out a lock nut tool. Are lock nuts standard on all LR 19" wheels? And how can you identify them, do they look the same as the other nuts or are they keyed/hollowed out?

Appreciate any help.

Mine doesn't have lock nuts from delivery.
They are a total liability and utter waste of time.

Are you saying also that in your tool bag you didn't get the fold out wheel brace?

There were no lock nuts on my D4 when delivered!

There's a jack and a couple of chocks. There's also an empty equipment pouch so I reckon the dealer raided this car and never replaced it. I'll chase it up.

Thanks on the lock nuts, sounds like I don't have them which was my biggest worry.
