Andy, I have been quoted $869 for the first logbook service (26k km). That's the dealer closest to home. Seems high to me.
I'm not at those km's yet but I have just done an interim service (13k km), which was an oil change, filter change and general vehicle checklist for $430 incl courtesy car. This was at the dealer slightly further from home where I bought the Disco (Pacific LR). I think they will offer better value for the 26k service than the quote closest to home but I haven't got an actual cost yet from them.
I missed seeing their Discovery Sports by one day:(

Scott

I was quoted $749 inc courtesy car from the dealer I bought it from(Southern Landrover).Mine only just turned 11000 so no need for that interim service.
They topped the oil up the other day free of charge, was only 250ml to take the gauge from 1/2 to full.
I appreciated that.

Where do you think it went :)
Some will burn off, some lost during run in and a little will have misted into the Turbo circuit to settle in there or be burnt.

Hey Andy
I had the health check & oil changed @ 13k & was $375 and got a loan car. The 26k service was last Friday at no charge as its on the Corporate plan and was given a loan car (4 week old HSE Freelander) again at no cost, which is not included in the Corporate plan.
Considering I'm in ACT & everything is dearer here with poorer service, seems the LR dealer here offers better service than what you guys get in the West.

All my intermediate health checks and services were covered by Corporate plan :)
Our "local" (8 hr return trip) dealer is fantastic.

Yes. Louis there is fantastic. A true enthusiast.
I spoke to him when Digger was having concerns and he rebuilt that relationship through his professionalism and desire to sort the issues..

We only have one dealer in the West, and a flurry of reasonably competent service alternatives, but they seem to use the dealer as the benchmark for what they charge, so am looking forward to moving interstate where I'm told they have real "choice". You lucky B'tds.

What KM is the "health check" due???
I got a "service required 3100km" warning yesterday,it made an odd total KM figure.
I wont be doing 3100km before the vehicle is 12 months old.

Hi Andy,
Health Check @ 13,000, no lubes or filters, just a check over.
Not sure of the cost as I too are on a corporate plan as well.
Didn't you need a software update? You might of mentioned somewhere.
They could do that at the same time.

Jack is right about the 13,000km but it is that or 6 months whichever comes first. If 3,100km is correct (did you mean 31,000km?) you need it at 6 months. Strictly speaking they're not supposed to need a service until 12 months or 26,000km and there are threads arguing the pros and cons of doing a service or oil change earlier than this. I had it done at 6 months as we do a majority of very short trips - less than 10km and I want the oil changed as a precaution. I have just had the oil changed again at 18 months. The health check cost me a $564 but I had the oil and filter changed at the same time which added $227 in parts (before GST added) to the cost.

Recently had the 12M service completed at approx 25,000km
I requested a couple of extra things as precautionary measures, following our big trip to the Cape and Outback QLD.
$1,215 for the following:
Logbook 26k service
+ EPB clean & adjust
+ Fuel Filter
+ Air Filter (cabin filter part of service)
The logbook service alone would have been ~$900
Cheers,
Scott
