Hi guys,
My water pump in my series 2 recently started leaking and required replacement, so I thought. Unfortunately I have the older, 8 hole type and they are no longer sold. Luckily bearing kits are sold and I purchased one from a UK distributor.

I have given the pump and kit to my old man who has offered to do it for me but after doing some research himself he is getting cold feet as he has heard that when done incorrectly the pump can crack. Is there anyone in WA who has done this once/many times before and can offer some advice or knows of a workshop/mechanic that I can visit or has even done it themselves and can help do mine?
Cars been out of commission for a while and I just want to drive it again :)
