Does anyone have any recommendations for Land Rover servicing in Alice Springs? I might be on way through there in a couple of weeks and it'll coincide nicely with my next service being due.

I checked the "Recommended Suppliers" section and saw that Suttons was mentioned. However, it's over 2 years since that post was made and Google tells me that Suttons focus on Subaru now.

Any help appreciated!!

If one has his/her Landy properly serviced

Does the Person doing the servicing have

Any rights like having the pick of the Litter

Or do the service fees cover all the costs

You could ask Big Jon, he used to be service manager at Suttons.

Sam, I could edit the title as you asked but you can do it yourself.

I'm not sure if you can access the thread title with the Edit Thread selection if you aren't a Mod. If you can see the option, try that.

Alternatively, select the usual edit button on the post, then select Go Advanced. That should let you edit your post title. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I never knew you could do that. Every day's a school day!

Sutton Motors is still the place to go.....and consider booking in because they get pretty busy this time of year.

Found the guys at Suttons to be very friendly and willing to offer good advice. I had a front prop shaft seal leaking and asked them to look at it. They said they were very busy but could do it the next day. They suggested I could do it myself, sold me part and told me how to change it and off we went.

I ended up getting my car serviced in Mt Isa in the end as that is where I ended up. However, a trip to Suttons might still be on the cards as I lost power and started billowing smoke on my way from Kings Canyon today. I suspect a turbo hose is the culprit but I don't have one spare in my kit so I'm stuck at Kings Creek waiting for a tow. Oh well, there are worse places to be.

I went to Suttons on my way trough there last year, the owner of the business was super helpful and knowledgeable. Wish there was someone as good down this way, I'd be able to give up doing my own servicing.
