Hi All,

I'm looking for some aggressive AT Tyres - currently runnning Cooper AT3's but need a full new set. Car is basically used only weekend to run up the M1 to the farm and then run around the farm - hence why the 50/50 type of tyre

Been offered Yokohama Geolander ATS G012 in 265/60x18 for $235 each from the local Bob Jane.

Anyone with any real life experences of these tyres in a D3/D4/RRS? Looking to see what sort of KM's I should expect.

Cheers LRH

I had them in LT245/70-17 on my D4. I would not call them aggressive but they didn't have any vices with my driving.

LRH - I had 2 sets of 265/60R18 Geolandars on my previous D3. They were great all purpose tyres. Didn't have any problems on rocks, sand or gravel. Of course they didn't clear mud as well as a MT would, but most AT tyres are the same in that. Pretty sure I got about 55,000 and 60,000km out of the two sets. They are also very quiet for an AT tyre and handle on the highways very well. Make sure you run pressures a few PSI above what the tyre placard recommends.

If I didn't have a set of 17" wheels for offroad and had to use an AT, I would still consider these. Although the Bridgstone D697 is a stronger tyre (LT design), they are also noisier. So if you mainly run around town through the week and just use them offroad on weekends, the Yokohamas win in that regard. Towing and extended travel on gravel or rocks - the D697s would win.
Cheers,
Rob
