Does anyone know what voltage the 1970s/80s Isuzu SBR 6BB1 trucks had?
12V or 24V?

Not 100% sure but 24V.

Thanks Brian
The reason is that I have a Mk3 Inter with a 6BB1 and it cranks very slowly with two new N70ZZ although it usually starts in less than a revolution. Harder to start when old batteries.
I've had a look at the starter in the truck but can't see a voltage mark, so would be good to know.
Thinking of doing a parallel-series (12V to 24V) change over for starting.

Can you see any part number on the starter. Might be able to do a check on the internet to ID the voltage.

pretty sure the NSW rural fire service vehicles were 24 volt.

My Mk3 Inter was a local villiage unit under the Gloucester Shire and the vehicle remained 12V as it was in Army service.
What I'm actually wondering what civilian Isuzu SBR trucks were when in service. These days it seems that most Isuzu trucks of that size in Oz are 24V but in the USA many are still 12V.
