Returning home from Albania today, uphill overtaking lane, cruise on 110kmh and catching a caravan.Pressed the loud pedal gently to pass no "cruise overrided" message and no power either(like the pedal was dead),pushed a bit more gently same, pushed harder, down 2 gears and off like a bat out of hell.
All I can think is the ECU was feeling the hill and thought it had it all under control.
Anybody felt similar???

The pedal has to be pressed past the point where CC is providing the equivalent power demand.

HAHAHA your doing it wrong........ dont press it gently they love to go!!! Get into it haha. But sometimes you think jeeze it will drop down a gear or 2 here on cruise and no it just powers up there in 8th no problem at all blows me away when I've have a Toyota Prado 3L td it would drop down a fair bit and rev something silly, and the same when i had a Lexus RX350 it was stupid it would go down from 5th to 3rd for something that you could easily get up there in 5th if you weren't on cruise.

I find with my six speed the same thing. I'll put the boot in to overtake some country traffic in an overtaking lane. I like to give it a blow through when I can as I generally drive like a nanna, but maybe it's the adaptive gearbox; the car says, nah I'll do these cars in this gear. No shortage of pickup, mind you, just vrooom to 130kph, job done, no kick down necessary
An amazing car, the package of capabilities suits me so well. Just love it.

For the 6-speed at least, kick-down is programmed to drop at least 2 gears.

They certainly do have that nice torque when you gently feed the power in with no kick down they just go so well i love them!! I wish they put the updated engine from the L494 RRS in there its now got about 230kw and about 700nm i believe!
