Hi all

Hope those with the long weekend are enjoying it.

Really dumb question, should a '95 RRC battery have a clamp/hold down? Mine doesn't, so you can just lift the battery straight out. If it should have one, could you please let me know what I should be buying to sort this out?

Wrapping up a few things for a Vic RWC - have poor washer jet pressure and a transmission fluid leak to fix this weekend too!

Not sure about Vic, but in NSW the answer would be yes.

Edit: And in Vic as well

You should be able to knock up a simple battery hold down across the battery, there should be suitable holes fore and aft of the battery. Auto shops should have universal adjustable hold downs for not very much.

Example:

Projecta BHD18M Universal Battery Hold Down Tray Clamp 160mm TO 175mm Clamps KIT | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PROJECTA-BHD18M-UNIVERSAL-BATTERY-HOLD-DOWN-TRAY-CLAMP-160mm-to-175mm-CLAMPS-KIT-/290821747725?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item43b653b40d)

G`day ,

you`ll find a Discovery 1 (serpentine belt type ) holder/clamp is the same thing .

Depending on where you are .........

" Jollys " in Dandenong have 5 discos and Ringwood has 3 .

" Pick a part "Kilsyth has only 1

Jollys no return cost is $4 plus $2 entry fee so all up $6 .

Definitely a RWC item in Vic. I often use a modified ratchet strap
