Hi Guys,

Having searched a bit on this, I just wondering if anyone has any recent views on what is the best 4WD mapping app for an iPad?

Both 'Hema' and 'Mud' seem to have updated their systems recently... I am just after a user friendly app that my other half can also use with her 'girl map' hat on!

We are planning a big trip at some point so do need the best detail etc etc.

Many thanks,

Pete. :)

I use pdf map:
PDF Maps Mobile App (http://www.avenza.com/pdf-maps)
I then down load what topo maps I require from geoscience australia in geopdf:
MapConnect - Geoscience Australia (http://www.ga.gov.au/scientific-topics/geographic-information/topographic-maps-data/mapconnect)
Its not perfect, but its free so that makes up for any shortcomings:p

I used Mud Map and then one day after an Apple upgrade I got an email saying they could no longer support it and I would have to reinstall their new product but I would get a discount. Not happy. I paid about $200 originally ages ago. I bought Tom Tom for my iPhone 4 when it first came out and I have it now on 4 devices for an initial outlay of $80 and free updates for life. If only they did an offered product.
