I'm sure this has been asked a billion times before though it looks as if I'm in the market for a new set of shockies as my ride has become horrific.

I'm looking for something for a 50mm lift that is super comfortable on the road and pretty good off road. I'm more an explorer than I am a hard-core off roader.

What would you recommend based on personal experience that is best bang for buck? I'm not looking at the Koni end of the spectrum by any means, but something good would be nice.

Cheers!
Alex

The Dobinson branded shocks in my County have stood up to 80,000km so far and aren't tired enough to replace them yet. The Monroes in my Perentie, which has 110,000 on the clock but who knows if the shocks are original or not, are dead. I'm going to try the old Bilsteins that were replaced by the Dobinsons in my Perentie when I get a round tuit. I'd prefer some De Carbons mind you...

Based on the changes they have recently made to their Defender suspension kits, you could probably do worse than an Old Man Emu kit as a complete plug and play solution.

Alternatively, Ultimate Suspension would be well worth the drive.

EShocks in the US were very good value for Bilsteins when I did mine, although the dollar plummeting in recent times may have ruined that a little.
