Generally, no.
Although some were modified with a tailgate in service (a rare thing) and some have been modified with a tailgate in civilian life.

KLR Automotive have modified some, including the one used by Australian Frontline Machinery.

I have a photo somewhere but I'm sure a pic was posted on the forum some time back. Ahh, here's one I took at the LR Expo last year.
