G'day people,

Was wondering if anybody had experience with the hannibal range of roof racks? They are manufactured in South-Africa but seem to be popular in the US and Europe. I've located a local distributor but would like to know if there are any real world experiences out there? This is the rack in question ...

Thanks,
Henry.

Thery certainly looks good, so do their awnings.

I bought a second hand one recently on ebay, its about 4 or 5 years old but like new, its lightweight but strong, me and my girlfriend can walk it on to the 90, comparatively low wind noise (not that it matters in a Defender). The rear bar unbolts if you want to fit a rooftent or carry a long load. Another good feature is the gutter bars spread the weight along the full length, you can see this in your photo.

The Hannibal gear is the mutts nuts.... I've got one of their awnings on my 110 and it's brilliant.

It's not cheap but it's very well made and will last.

Mark.
