Just in case anyone has missed it (pop over to D3/D4 forum) there is a Member on that forum (owns a D4) who is in the process of sourcing an alternative 18 inch rim (weight rated 1250kg) to the Compomitive Rims out of GOE. No word yet whether it will fit the last of the L322's but just posting the information here so everyone knows and I will update this thread as Tombie (Member) progresses things.
cheers
Chris

It says he's in SA, Whyalla.

Don't panic - myself and Basil135 (working on this with me) are quite the travellers...

We will find one

Don't try a MY11/12 na 5.0 though as they use 3.0 D4 front brakes.

I'm looking at buying a 3.6 TDV8.
I'm assuming if they fit a 4.4 then they'll fit a 3.6.
Any ideas of pricing?
I had a quick look in the discovery section but couldn't see a post?

Good point Blade - hidden away within:

Yes, if they fit a 4.4 they will fit a 3.6. Note the Compomotive rims fit the 3.6 too.

cheers

A word of warning, I tried several 18" HD rims (rated at 1100kg+) and they would not fit over the brakes on my 06 TD6....hence I went with 20's because I was to scared to buy untested from the states for 1/2 the cost

So are we saying the compomotives will not fit the 4.4?

That's correct - they don't fit over the 4.4 / 5L Supercharged front brakes (6-pot "Range Rover" labelled Brembos).

If the new rims look the business and are a bit cheaper than compomotives then it's a no brainer.

I expect to have my 4.4 TDV8 L322 in Adelaide on Sunday 6th Sept and possibly nearby on Saturday 5th if that's any good for a rim test.
