1. Qld cars aren't fitted with directional indicators which is unusual as I thought they were required under ADRs.
2. Traffic lights are merely advisory. It isn't necessary to stop for a red light.
3. The roads are far better than where I live in Sydney.
4. It is not necessary to go around smaller roundabouts, one can drive straight over them.

Paid for by tourists who discover that the rules are only enforced for visitors. Locals know someone.

You'll probably find that the majority of drivers on the Gold Coast got their drivers licence from South of the border before their migration to a better place!

I only use indicator when I believe others need to know what I'm doing......all other time they are not needed

That seems to be a common occurrence , if you are behind the wheel everyone needs to know what you are doing.

Yes, indeed. We still have our Go cards from our trip to Brissie in July 2014. How do I know the date? Because when I tapped on, I found I had a negative balance. When I checked at the ticket machine, it showed I'd tapped on in July 2014 and tapped off today. So I got charged the maximum fare.

Nah......if you say I'm a right hand turn only (arrow controlled) lane at the traffic lights I see no reason to put an indicator on....plenty of other examples

If the lane says you have to turn do not need to indicate. Had this pointed out to me by a policeman in Brisbane during a random stop one night. Was late at night - early morning - and not much was happening police wise so wanted a chat more than anything else. As the patrols used to call into where I worked at night on my own just to make sure was OK was more than happy to chat to keep relationship good.

There must be a lot of drug dealers on the Gold Coast. I've never seen so many black full fat Rangies and Sports.
I noticed in tonight's news story about drug dealing, that one of the Mongols arrested had a full fat RR.
