G'day all, I have the above with 20in wheels. After suggested replacements for the Scorpions. after 42k they are getting well down. No off road stuff other than paddocks. Towing a 2.7 ton caravan basically only black top. Plenty of posts about smaller rims but not on the 20's.

Hi Trevor
A mate of mine just put 275/55/20 Cooper AT3's (???) on his Jeep. He said he is happy with them so far.
Cheers
Scott.

We have just crossed the Plenty Highway in a RRV on 20's - Cooper 285/50/20. Towing a 3.5t 21foot Bushtracker. Tyres have been fantastic with no overheating and good wear so far. Recommended!
Muskie, looks like we won't be needing any spares mate!!!:D:

That's reasonably more sidewall than the standard 275/40 R20 on the RRS... Must make a difference... I haven't seen any oversize recommendations for the RRS 20 either

I had Coopers on a previous vehicle and while they wore very well, the rubber seemed very hard and with plenty of tread left got a bit slippery slidy at times.

It isn't a RRS it's a RRV (Range Rover Vogue).
They have a bit more room for larger tyres than the RRS or D4.

I am happy with Cooper Zeon LTZ in 275/45 R20 on our 2013 RRS.

Anyone experienced Cooper H/T Plus 275 x 45 x 20 tyres on a Discovery 4? My D4 has original size tyres that are 255 x 50 x 20 so overall diameter should be OK. Looking for a quite tyre that has good durability to tow a 3 ton caravan without sacrificing wet/dry handling too much.

Have been running these Nankang SP-7 | Nankang (http://www.nankangusa.com/tires/rltsuv/nankang-sp-7) in 295/45/20's for about 5,000 Klm's now. Very happy with them in the dry & wet and are quite grippy on boggy building sites.
They do hum slightly on the road though.
These are my second choice http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp'tireMake=Continental&tireModel=CrossContact+LX20+with+EcoPlus+Technolog y
Mind you, they are purely road based.

Craig, seems the nankang's are around $100 more expensive than the Scorpions by Googleisation. There also doesn't appear to be an Aus supplier?

Hi Trevor, I purchased the tyres through Tyrepower @ $229.00 per corner.
The tyres actually get really good reviews.

Just as a matter of possible interest, I got prices today from the local Tyrepower store. Hankook Ventus ASRH07, 255/50/R20 $330 + $50 alignment and Pirelli Scorpion Zero same size $440.
