What a pity they didn't get Arthur Goddard over there to contribute to the build.
But at least he will be out at Mulgowie on Saturday dining with the crew fom SLOW.

Only 2,000000!! I would have though in 66 years they would have made a lot more. I suppose though they are hand built and that is around 30,000 or so a year for hand built that is not bad going.
Probably why there was so many stuff ups :D

Awesome. So they managed to get a host of people with little or no hands-on production line experience to build one of the most manually assembled vehicles notorious for patchy build quality and leaks. It surely will be something extra special then. :p

Thing is in the last few months a lot of people who have just got a new Defender have said how well they are put together, only taken 30 years to get there.:D

Hmm yes and no, I have just got back from having my electric breaks fitted and the guy pointed out a few things I should mention at the first service. The floor pan in the passenger side, the foam water seal strip is poking out for about a foot and there is a visible gap from underneath. The screws with the blue caps on underneath, well one is split with the screw coming out of the side, and the tank breather is just hanging loose. Nothing serious but poor all the same.
