I've had the dear Disco for over 6 years now and the headlight washers have never worked. It's not something that I have missed but I was wondering if anyone else's Disco also lacked the use of this English feature.
If it is to be restored to function where do I start?

They only work when the headlights are on - so if the washers don't work (and they are not bloked) then I would check out the switching (a relay?)from the headlight circuit.
I think the headlight washers use the same pump as the rest of the washers but I am not sure - if they have a seperate pump it will be linked into the headlight circuit. When stopped with the engine off, you can here the pump working on my car.
Hope this helps a little.

just a tip for you one_:wink:
when they do work(usually at night)
you can see the spray/mist in the headlight glow over the bonnet.

(why don't Discos have them)
Never much considered squirters without flappers to be real useful

they squirt with a fair bit of pressure and i think hot water.....if there were wipers fitted how long do you think they would last with all the dust and mud they would collect?
and not to mention the lucas electrics to run them....
