Hay guys,

I just purchase a freelander 2 09 Se for the wife on Tuesday. 126,000km and it's so nice to drive until this morning :( I did how ever get to watch the sun come up while parked on the side of the free way with a car that would not start!

Driving to work on the free way and I'm getting a jolting feeling with a clunk while I'm light on the throttle, happened once yesterday and I kinda thought hmmmm that's weird.

This morning is happened several times on the free way, after about the 3rd jolt I pulled into the left lane as I got a note on the dash stating the engine was at reduced power. Tried to crawl it to the service station but she stalled out. Thank god the power steer and brakes still work. I tried to start it and got a hdc fault with the car not wanting to start. I tried a few more times with no luck. After about 10min it started again. Drove for about 5min and I got the same issue!

I ended up sitting on The side of the m4 watching the sun come up waiting for a tow truck. Thought I would try her again after about 45 min. What u know she started and got me to work.

I will be calling the dealer today to let them know they can fix it or I'll take it to a specialist at their cost.

From thinking what a great car to oh my god lucky the wife was not driving this right now!

Well it was thankfully just a low voltage in the battery. Must have been from sitting in the dealership. Im putting the jolting feeling down to a miss fire as I have researched and it seems to be another issue when there is low voltage.

Now I cant find any off road gear thats worth buying :(

The only thing worth buying for off road work is a set of 17" rims and 245/70/17 all terrain tyres. The tyres will give you a little lift of around 20-30mm.
