Hello Holden Series People,

I spent some time removing the 137 cc Holden carburettor and inlet manifold that was installed on Rebus when I bought the vehicle. It is a 202 red motor out of a HQ, according to the engine number. It now has most of the new manifold and re-manufactured carburettor for a 202 bolted up. I just have to sort out the linkages and pipes tomorrow.

I also have a new Bosch-clone electronic ignition system to install.

Cross fingers that it all works out as it is my first foray into electronic ignition installation!

Kind Regards
Lionel

Sounds good Lionel.
It will run like a singer sewing machine when you fire her up!

Cheers, Mick.

Hello All,

I just checked off against a Stromberg Manual and Rebus was fitted with a 161 ci carburettor - not a 137.

Kind Regards
Lionel

Lionel you probably mean a 173 ci as Holden didn't make a 137.
The nearest to 137 ci was the little 2225 cc or 138 ci and also the grey motor 138.

Cheers, Mick.

My Bad Mick :) I think I will get back to my PhD where I know what I am writing about and leave things Land Rover alone for a while.

Kind Regards
