I had lots of calls from the people I invites to yesterdays event thanking the club for putting on & allowing them to come a long to a extremely good & informative event. All enjoyed there selves.

Glad to hear people enjoyed the day. I'll certainly pass on the appreciation to all my helpers :D, and circulate the photos LRO International took once I have them and advice when they are running their story on SLOW Inc in their magazine.

I'll also circulate the digital copy of the Toowoomba Newspaper story their journalist is sending through once I have it.

Looking forward now to the Samford Classic Car Show - see you then. :)

Arthur is VERY special, not too many blokes still going to work every day at 95.
I hope you guys all got a picture of Arthur in front of your vehicle.
I would've loved to have been there, but a bit far for me I'm afraid. I'd love to see Arthur at similar day in Victoria,....I wish!!

Hello Pickles - yes, everyone who wanted one had the pic of themselves with Arthur in front of their Rovers. Arthur has signed all my manuals, blueprints, framed Series 1 images etc too. He just loves being involved with our club - he is a very special and grand gentleman and a pleaseure to be around.

Arthur is starting to slow down a little these days and travel - well, Mulgowie is about the limit! Thanks for the post and interest.

I've actually spoken to his son a few times, who organized a personally signed (to Wifey Myself & Gracie!) copy of the book about Arthur, "They Found Our Engineer", and I also have a copy of the most excellent DVD "Stop Gap", which should be a must for every L.R. enthusiast.
I think that in the Stop Gap DVD Arthur actually talks about the Duke referring to the Queen's bum for the seat etc,....Yeah, Arthur is SPECIAL.
