Parking type error

Hi guys

When I release my parking brake/EPB, the red light stays on and then an orange park brake warning light flashes. The EPB doesn't go off until I press the accelerator. It's a 2011 2.7 D4. Started a few days ago and does it intermittently.

My IIDtool gives the following codes:

-U0128-00 (2E) - lost communication with parking brake control
-U0159-00 (28) - lost communication with parking assist control.

Any ideas ??? I've had a look through the manual and wiring diagrams, but am a bit unsure where to start....

The EPB needs adjusting and cleaned or it has worn pads, either way it will need to be cleaned and adjusted, the sensor is a warning to have it looked at.

Don't use the park brake until you have it looked at, eventially it will stick and you will have to release it manually.

I have mine looked at as part of every service.
