Timing belt or chain?

Hi all am purchasing a S1 disco ... just wondering if anyone can tell me whether they have a timing belt or chain and if so how often does it have to changed?

If it's a TDI it has a belt change it at 60K-80k if its a V8 it has a high velocity chain, change it when the camshaft is worn out.
