Hi
Anyone have problems fitting the HD flanges.
I got bearmach brand and they are tight on the splines, only done one on the front left it taps on ok, but pushes the drive shaft in and i had to use a bolt and tube to pull it back out, is this normal for these type of flanges.
I have read the rears are easier to do.
The flanges go on ok on a test shaft i had spare but i don't see how i can tap the flange on square and hold the drive shaft when doing it on the car.
any tips or is thsi just normal.

I've found that to be NORMAL for the HD flanges.
Sometimes if you take a file to the start of the spline you'll get them to go on.
The section of spline on the outside of the circlip is the culprit.

They tend to be neat fitting. The pull axle out with a bolt or slide hammer is normal :) for the rears if you like you can take the axle out and tap the flange on with a nice square of hardwood, fit the circlips and slide it back.
Just be certian to make them oil lubed or they wear fast!
