Getting right into Series 1's at present, I have bought enough bits (almost two cars) to build an 86", and then the other day this 109 was found just down the road.

Plan is to get all the bits together and then determine the pathway forward. The 109 has a perfect chassis and firewall, the 86 actually runs!

But I must complete my Mini Cooper 997 resto first, which is at the fun, putting it together stage.

Yes, I'm a Mini fan also, having owned a Morris Cooper S (Mk1) way back around 1967, if only I had the hindsight to keep it (sigh) cheers Dennis

Okay, here are my two early Coopers:

1963 997cc Nurburg White over Smoke Grey (will have red interior), almost done!
1964 998cc (however fitted with 1275, weber, straight cut gears etc) Nurburg White over British Racing Green. Fun car!

What a cracker of a series1 lwb. Very jealous, had one a few years ago but had to sell it when marriage broke down. Good luck with the resto.

Very cheap. Buy another. With all that fun time in the shed, you won't be tempted to get married again :wasntme:

Beautiful Minis mate...I love them. I bought a little yellow one for $200 about 25yrs ago, I had a corvette at the time, and wanted a 'runabout', something for going to the pub in etc...a mate had the cheap mini, I was driving furniture trucks at the time and it was at the other end of the country, so I drove it into my furniture truck and took it home! Used to love racing around the town in my little yellow mini, great machine. Wish I still had one!
