Hi Kai,
I had 236/85R16s(32's) on my 76 2 door, it only had a 2" spring lift but did rub the guards on full travel and could have done with either guard trim or body lift, I'd say you will need body lift (2") and Guard trimming due to the width of the rubber.
What will it affect,
well driven like a granny probably nothing,
But if you drive it like you stole it 8O then you will need to beef up the driveline cause the diffs and axels just wont last, I blew a rear with the 32's and I treated mine with care  (kept the changes to 4500rpm)

Got 235/85R16 goodyear MT/R's on my 83 Rangie with a 2 inch spring and 25mm body lift. they stil rubb a bit on full compression but liveable. Just trim the sharp edges away and you'll be right.
Driveline wise, front and rear maxi's fixed that problem. Now I can drive it like I stole it, even more so with the ZF auto fited style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Steve you should have seen the Pro Comps at the LROCV tech night last night. Whhooooooaaa Nelly were the 40"s BIG. I don't have to worry about how expensive they are because they'll never fit under the Disco.

(Momentary thread hijack)
The Pro Comp tyre guy was good, the Penrite oil bloke was VERY informative, the Exide battery bloke put a lot of complicated stuff very simply, and the Pedders suspension guy also dealt with some techo geeko stuff very plainly. I think they all prefered to keep it simple, but there was a good 40 min question/show-and-tell session afterwards. I hope LROCV keep running with the idea. Turnout was good, but I am sure it would be better the more they do.

hmmm seems you the opposite to me, i've got the tyres just loiking for 15" rims with good offset.
Just keep keeping your eye out (hmm does that make sense?!?) for some 32x11.5 x15's. I found a pretty much brand new set in the trading post for a good price so there are some deals out there.
