Did anyone have any luck with the bullbar situation? I'm looking at getting the L320 supercharged and want to set it up as a tourer. The normal things like bar, snorkle for deep water, rear wheel carrier, tyres and so on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. :)

There are a couple of threads running on this and there are members here running the Opposite Lock D3/4 bar - this is the one I think - https://oppositelock.com.au/products/protection/landrover-discovery-4-post-type-steel-bullbar-front-sensors

Those more in the know will be along with the finer points I'm sure.

Excellent. Does that fit the RRS model or just the landrover? Not to easy to find after market for these wagons. ;)

Which RRS are you talking about, I always thought a RRS was a Land Rover.

Anyway, those with the Land Rover RRS TDV6, are fitting the Land Rover Discovery 4 bullbar:cool:

The bullbar is crash test and meets all ADRs, but, whether it's legal when fitted to the RRS, that's another story, also, is there anything different about the Supercharged V8 over the TDV6, apart from the obvious of coarse.

Sorry mate, I was talking about 2010 RRS supercharged. Exactly the same just different motor. I've never seen one setup like I've had my Landcruisers setup for touring and didn't think it would be this much hassle to find aftermarket parts such as rear wheel carriers, bullbars, snorkel, long range tanks etc.....

As far as I know, no rear bar, but I'm confident a rear wheel carrier can be done, it may look a bit strange with the sloped back though, as it will be a D3/D4 carrier, if the airbox is in the same place as the TDV6, then you should be able to fit a snorkle, bullbar yes the D3/D4 Bar will fit, but as I said, whether it's legal or not I'm not sure, if you don't care, you're not alone, lots here have fitted the D4 bar to their RRS.

Brown Davis do a long range tank for the RRS, all model from 2009 to 2013, part No LDI3A1.

One more thing, if you are going to do any towing, toss the factory tow hitch plough away and have a Mitchell Bros hitch fitted and look also for GOE rods or a LLAMS height adjustment system, these allow you to drive offroad without the car lowering at 50kph.

I've seen a picture of a D3/4 RWC on a RRS and it indeed looks strange, but probably no worse than fitting one to a RRV that I hope to do.
The 3.6 air-box is on the LHS so a D3/4 snorkel wont be of any use.

Yeah I do remember that photo also and yes it did look odd.

Demand is probably the reason for the lack of accessories, like a lot of vehicles that are not as popular for offroad touring, although that shouldn't stop you from touring.

heres the wheel carrier - you can find them on ebay.... and the raised air intake - genuine LR plus the OL D3 bullbar.

The RRS RAI (ADL790020) is only suitable for non-supercharged petrol and TDV6 engines, according to the LR description.

The main issue is that the V8's use both side intakes and no-one makes a RAI/snorkle for the left hand intake.

And TDV8s presumably?

If the motor is 3.6 then there should be a single air-box on the LHS, but if a 4.4 then one air-box each side (assuming same as RRV) with the primary turbo on the right getting the most usage then a RH RAI or snorkel would be advantageous in dusty areas. If the 3.6 in the RRS has one air-box each side then not much use fitting a RAI or snorkel to one side as both 3.6 turbos operate together, unlike the 4.4.

There are no ADR compliant bull bars for RRS made. Yes you can fit OL D3/4 bullbar if you are prepared to accept possible insurance issues etc later.
The OL bar does not state that it fits RRS, and OL headquarters have stated that it was not designed for RRS. Up to you. FYI, I had purchased one, got it color coded etc, but when reading threads on this forum, from people like Gary Col, decided against fitting it. It was on sold to a D4 owner;)
