Amazing. If Clarke doesn't fire we're stuffed, I think.

And now four wickets down. 3 ducks.
England must be feeling confident.

I'm not game to get up to make a cuppa and raisin toast in case I miss a wicket.

GO ENGLAND! (and all things British).

Australia lost 4 wickets in the time I cooked 2 chicken thighs on the BBQ. Missed the first wicket because I was outside.

When the commentators were talking about Australia batting at the end of the day I don't think they were referring to the second innings.

And another one goes.

kenleyfred

And now 5 down

England are a better cricket team than us. Their bowlers are spot on. Not the coaches fault. he can only work with what he has. Bob

Went to boil the kettle and missed Clarke's dismissal. Superb English bowling and fielding - credit where it's due.

I needed to get a capsicum from the vegie patch for tomorrow's scrambled eggs but decided not to so I didn't miss the rest of the Aussie innings.

Go the Poms.
Whilst Aussie is the best Country in the World, as an old Pom, there are two things that I have always done, and they are, barrack for Manchester United (emigrating from Manchester where you always barracked for M.U. or M.C.), and support the Poms in the Ashes,...and boy haven't they needed it (support) over the years when Lillee, McGrath & co have fixed us up big time.
Currently, I believe the Aussies collectively have more talent than us. The English side is still "ruled" by the "Public School Brigade",.....why else would Petersen not be playing?
So they're going OK at this time, but it's more from Aussie boo boos than Pommy expertise.

There's a lot of arrogance when they get flogged about we're going to play the Aussie way and keep attacking. I thought the Aussie way in sport was to win and sometimes that means digging in and playing test match innings not one day innings. Its something this current team repeatedly does.

Don't sell them short. The English bowling is first class, the batting adequate. I think we are seeing the beginning of a new era of English cricket. Good on them. { Damn, that was hard] Bob

Is 60 respectable ? Although he did get the third highest score so maybe he should be bumped up the order.

I dunno nothing about the cricket but I think "Is Vic There " one of the better user names I've seen here. I loved the song by "Dept S" + we had a bloke in the post room at an office I worked at once called Vic and a bloke that sat not all that far from me would often phone him up and say "Is Vic there?" and it would crack me up every time, no one else knew the song and they could never work out why I was laughing - oh - plus my Mrs is Vicki.

cheers,
D

Going to be a million jokes about this - it's better than Bronnie's chopper!

Wouldn't you be spitting if you'd bought tickets to day 5, or 4, or maybe even 3.
