hi all,
just completed my D3 safari snorkel install. the instructions say complete in 3hrs no way, took me two half days though would be quicker next time. make sure to double check the template as mine was out just slightly which caused some delays. the cutting of the inner guard also takes time to do so allow time for this. the bracket to the A pillar for some reason was out of alignment so had to cut the black windscreen trim at a slighlty diff location, no big deal.
by far the hardest point is the upper rear nut of the snorkel. almost impossible to reach by hand. i finally ended with a small ratchet approx 10cm long (tiny) then taped a flat 30cm ruler to extend the length and whilst viewing from the top thru the bonnet hinge you can actually see the nut, then tightened. of course this took by far the most of my time. now its done i can finally enjoy it. hope this helps others. cheers
