just got a book from the Library MINI by Simon Garfield.
Early on, but bits like this make me laugh out loud:
With regard to the design of the floor seals , where the wheels would throw water up in alarming quantities:

I had a mini when I was a kid that took on water like the Titanic - but I always thought that it was as a result of a hole under the heal by the accelerator pedal. I'm not sure if they ever addressed the problem?
