Hi all,
I replaced the evaporator in my D2 recently and now need to leak test, evac and charge my A/C.
I am going to charge with hychill as the system has been empty for a number of months so little to no residue.
Problem is that this year I am working in Melb and live in an apartment in Southbank! I have no garage and no special tools!
Can anyone assist or help me to replace the drier, vac down, leak test and charge the A/C? Failing that, any suggestions for A/C maintainers close to South Melb.

Lastly, I am happy to travel - even to another town, as it gives me an excuse to leave my apartment!

Cheers
Ralph

If you are in Melbourne, I suggest that you give this guy a ring, & discuss your issue with him. He is an A/C "Guru" & has been around forever. Call him first to see what He thinks? He's in Bayswater, but like I said, call him first.

Only speak to Keith. Let me know how you go?

Yes, I agree Pickles, Keith is a GURU and thinks outside the square, he even modified a Toyoto compressor clutch to fit my old Disco when mine exploded, saved me heaps! He does a good job and charges a reasonable price.
If you do any work yourself, Keith wants the Seals replaced with new before he will do a gas up.
