Hi,
So after lurking around on here for months I finally convinced the wife to get a holiday car that we can take off road.
Thanks for all the help so far in helping me decided what to buy and what to watch out for when buy a second had discovery
We now have our new (second hand) 06 Discovery 3.
Initially we are planning on using it as our holiday car, mainly road touring with the ability to adventure down the 4WD tracks in the national parks and head off the bitumen with out feeling unsafe. It will probably get used a little bit around town but not much.
It's going in for a C service on Monday, having a full transmission service and sump replacement and getting a snorkel put on.
After that I have a bull bar on order and some FYRLYT's to add on once the bar is on.
After this I'm considering either getting an Auto Logic tune done by my mechanic or a Spider Performance System chip.
I am finding it hard to find what I would call reliable reviews on the spider chips. Has anyone here had any experience with them.
Other questions along these lines.
1. why pick AL tune over a chip that does the same thing when it cant be removed?
2. does anyone suggest any locally available chips?
3. Any other advice?
Cheers
Cassian
