Anyone having a problem with the "non" moving part of the door handle not clipping in properly and sticking out when you open the door?

Or is it just me? I've googled it and it doesn't seem to be an issue.

The clips on the small pieces might be broken?

When I put new door handles on ours I was extremely careful to get them out without breaking but no matter how gentle or careful at least one of the clips broke on each piece...

G'day Cambo,

Where did you get your new handles from? I can't find them at a reasonable price.

Did you get them paint matched?

I bought them as a set from a supplier in the UK, pre-painted to match my car, genuine Land Rover part kit already painted. There are part numbers for the colour-coded kits.

They weren't cheap though, as I recall it was something like GBP 150 for the full set....

Got a bargain!

Rimmer Bros had them on clearance.

Full set genuine LR in vehicle colour for $105 AUD :D

Plus $60 postage :(

$165 painted & delivered is still cheaper than what you'd pay locally, that's a win :)

Got my handles and Workshop manual last night :D

The workshop manual states that clips may break on removal and replace as necessary. So I'm thinking now that if you have to take the rear section of the door handle off for any reason you'd better be ready to replace them.

So as I was replacing them anyway I didn't take the door panel off and just broke the clips prying them out with my plastic lever. New ones fitted as simple as and look so much better than the faded black ones. ;)

Rimmers still have them on clearance if anyone wants the colour coded look.
