Recentli I have seen TD5 injectors advertised on ebay in the UK for as little as 40GBP also saw some listed brand new for 200GBP each.

the cheap ones could be the early faulty ones that leak oil back through the harness...

They are the ones we should sell back to the Brits.
The ones I saw advertised for 50GBP were actually new ones for the 2002-2005 Defender marked as green, he bought the wrong ones, the guy actually required ones marked black as these are pre 2002 apparently and can not be interchanged. Dont know enough about them but he seemed to know what he was on about. It was also listed new off the shelf items for 200GBP. Thats a fair saving of $1500-$2000 ea AUD depending who you buy from. I was tempted to buy some spares just in case.

I think this is typical with spare parts. If you wanted some when the Td5 was a new motor it would cost you an arm and a leg but after a few years the price of parts tends to decrease.

I heard a couple of years ago that LR reduced the price of a Td5 motor complete from around $15k to $8k.
