View Full Version : 2015 Model Bullbar?

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a bullbar for a 2015 model Disco 4?

ARB have not yet released theirs, and I am having trouble finding any others? ECB state that theirs has not been tested on the 2014 model, let alone the 2015...

I am happy for steel or alloy, leaning towards alloy to keep the weight down. I really just want somewhere to hand the spotties and UHF...

Cheers!
Wayne

If you just require mounting points, you could maybe consider these few ideas others have tried. It's the subjectively subtle approach if you really don't have the necessity for a bullbar on a city daily driver vehicle.

Light mount brackets:

Andrew, does the OL bar allow for the cameras to be fitted?

Confirmed OL Bar for 2014 is available with cameras and sensors. Don't think 2015 would be any different?

My friend at work just got this OL bar fitted to his MY15 HSE last week.

I've been waiting so I could take a close look at it. I like it. Think I'll go and book mine in now! :)

Sorry black on black makes it a bit difficult to see some of the finer details. If you want a closeup of any particular area let me know and I'll head back down to the car park!

Looks good black on black. If anyone happens to get one fitted in black to an Ipanema Sand disco please post some pics, keen to see what it'll look like.

Spoke with local ARB in Darwin today in response to an email and had verbal confirmation that the ARB bar to suit my '14 HSE (sensors & cameras) would be available December this year. Will be the same design as the one on their website (shown in beautiful Nara Bronze), but being suitable for sensors and cameras.
Was so close to getting the OL one, but I think I'll wait. ARB has more of an angle toward the fender, whereas the OL one (whilst it still looks good) sort of boxes the front end out a little too much IMO.
Sounds like a nice Chrissy present!

I've had a black OL bar fitted to my White D4 MY15 and it looks great. They made a few refinements recently (so I'm told) and it's a really nice fit all round. There are 3 aerial mount points that are nice and wide on the bar so they don't get in your line of sight. $2300 fitted in Perth.

It certainly would look great Rocket, don't disagree with you! It's just my perception.

I've just had a white Opposite Lock bar fitted to my Fuji White MY15. The car has sensors but no cameras. Am very pleased with the result and service from OL Windsor Gardens SA. Richard and Jack there were also pleased with the result and took the attached photos for their promotion. Looks even better now with the Fyrlyts fitted. Cost of the bar was $2,700 including colour coding and fitting.

Can the headlights and grille be removed without removing the OL bullbar? With the ARB fitted to my MY12 it can't be done which is a real pain.

Never thought of that. With the greater depth of the OL Bar at the side posts it may be possible? That is the bit I perceive as squaring the bar up too much, but it may have it's advantage. Be interesting to know.

Certainly can't remove the headlights with the OL bar - I tried while fitting the driving lights. Not sure about the grille. Hadn't thought about any of that before fitting the bar. I guess it is a fact of life with the bars conforming more to the contours of the vehicles these days?

You shouldnt need to remove the bar.I would have tought loosen the mount bolts, remove some(unsure of the total number as I havent looked),then lay the bar over enough to do the headlights.

How much does the OL bulbar weigh? Keen but dont like the idea of adding more weight particularly when im already towing a heavy caravan.
