starter noises?

The starter motor on my 88 RRC is making some strange noises.

The starter motor turns the engine over Okay. It engages and disengages as it should.

However when I turn the key the starter noise is joined by a "Clicking Noise'. A bit like the one you get when the battery is low and there is not enough power for the starter to engage.

Any suggestions on what to check/replace?

An easy fix. The the wire that carries the 12v feed from the ignition switch had a loose connection at the starter.
