Hi All

I know about the gearbox service, are there any other items due for maintenance at the 100k mark that should be budgeted for and used as leverage when making an offer?

Ive seen some comment recently about suspension items but have not bee able to find them again

Can anyone tell me if MY11 had the upgraded air compressor?

thanks in advance

J

The compressor upgrades were required for D4 MY12 (mine was replaced under warranty) and my brother has had it done to his D4 MY11 too. I guess you need to check if the compressor has been replaced. I think it is only done if a fault develops rather than as a routine "upgrade".

Nah, Andrew, a mate is looking at one in a yard. I'm at 47 or 48k, I think. Driving to SX and back this weekend.

I have now done just over 100000 now and have replaced brakes all round.
My front end is getting clunky and the rear end is OK. I will replace the lower arms soon and sway bar bushes.
The auto has been serviced at 60 k and is due again now but most miles are country driving.
I am touching wood for all I am worth but have had a fantastic run with this car and still have the permagrin.
I do not raise or lower much, even though my wife is a petite Asian, as she is happy to use Brads sliders as a step. This has ensured the longevity of the Hitachi compressor. So far!
Having thus spoken I will await the wrath if the LR gremlins:angel:

If Topix shows an outstanding compressor replacement campaign for your vehicle then I suggest that you get it done sooner rather than later in case there is an expiry date on the campaign. I've read of a 2 year limit on some update campaigns.
