I need to replace the SCV in my 2008 tdci defender; have been shopping around for a reasonably-priced replacement part. There are several sellers on eBay with what appear to be the same item, they are advertised as 'genuine Denso', however the packaging in the photos states that they are made in Thailand by 'Siam Denso'. Does anyone know whether this is a genuine, quality manufacturer or are they dodgy sellers playing on the similarity to nippondenso? An internet search seems to indicate that this is a subsidiary of the Japanese company but I'm a little wary.

Transit World are one of the mobs advertising the valve on eBay with the 'Siam Denso' packaging.

Just checked and I was mistaken, the mob on eBay is'transit spares'. A search for 'transit world' brings up several pages of public transport related gumph.
Nevertheless, my question remains if anyone knows the answer; is 'siam denso' a genuine OEM manufacturer?
