i brought myself a 09 d4 and i am wanting to put a led light bar on, ive made the wiring loom but im a little worried about splicing it to the high beam wire.
will it be ok or will it play around with the computers:confused::confused:

As long as you are using a relay, you can pick up off the high beam wire for the trigger, without any problems at all.

I used two relays in series.
Trigger one for the high beam, trigger two for the front fogs.
That way i can use high beam without the bar on and use the front fogs without the bar on. Only when i select both front fogs and high beam does the bar come on.
This is also more legal, as you have a light indication on the dash, but there is no need to fit another switch in the dash... By default the front fogs are off, so i can't accidentally switch on the bar whilst driving.

Its not more legal at all ;)
Its interlocked - yes...
However, the law states it must have its own switch...
It also states using Fog lights when not necessary is an offence...
Considering I would want to be able to hit high beam and have it come on in winding country your set up is very restrictive... And ultimately illegal...
