Sometime this week as Ryan is moving, it runs off leads so maybe it will drive onto a trailer...

Can you tow a trailer?

Yes if I can get my Dad there with his Disco, I had looked for trailers but they are all rated at 1.5 tonne load and I had my concerns with the disco towing 3.2 tonnes, its disco 4 SDV6 but not sure if it needs a HD towbar or if the one he has is sufficient

Do you know of one that could be used?

PM sent,
I could do it Saturday as I've been trying to get a few bits for the Maggot.
Gives me an excuse to head that way.

It was an adventure.
Still reckon it was a mistake dropping it off at your place.

We got it loaded wrong Mick.
The motor should always be towards the front of the trailer;)

It was easier to get on that way. Winched it up by the tow ball.

How did it tow like that????
Normally it would be a bit tail happy, but Micks trailer does have a long draw bar.

That trailer is happiest when loaded that way. It tows very well, and it's had almost every model Landy I can think of on it at one stage or another, quite a few of which Alien has towed with the Deefer. :)

Having the wheels set so far back is the key, most car trailers arent set up like that.

It tows really well and has never given any sign of wanting to get the wobbles up.
With the wheels so far back it gets to heavy on the draw bar with the motor forward.
Also it only sits out about 150mm each side so it's easy to slip through he traffic.
Hardest thing is in the tying down as what ever is on the trailer usually has the front wheels on the down hill run being a Banana Back set up.
Very easy to forget there is a lot of weight wanting to go backwards.

Funnily, I told a mate about it. The mate who has been storing a few of my treasures.
"You didn't buy it?" he asked disgustedly. "Not another one to store."
Then I showed him the photo's.
"Why didn't you buy it?" was his next question.
