I know this subject has been flogged to death but I'm still a little confused.

Will the LR 18" rims fit the RRS (with brembos) if I use wheel spacers?
I'm not in a position to get the compomotive rims just yet so looking for an alternative as desperately need to get some decent tyres on, virtually impossible to get anything decent in a 19" especially in a 265.
Hoping someone can give me a definitive answer on this.
Cheers

... if I use wheel spacers?

Probably already know this but... use of wheel spacers is not legal unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer. There are probably many pros & cons to them and I imagine many people don't care but your insurance might.

Yes went through all the spacer thing with an X5 and not keen to do it again.
Just scored a set of 20 x 9.5 2nd hand but in new condition, getting the 275 45 GG fitted today so that will suffice until I get a set of compomotives.

Why go for 245 x 45 R20 instead of the standard 255 x 55 R19 size? The latter would be better in sand than the ones you have just bought??

The big brakes are 6 pot Brembos i.e. on the 5.0 SC & 4.4 tdv8 FFRR.

I would buy 285/50s with a higher load rating if you now have 20s.

285s apparently are marginally for clearance to the suspension. I would go 265 50 20 111v in the Nitto Terra Grappler, I have them and have used them in sand and mud. Not the best compared to 18s but will get the job done if you are careful.

Already committed to the GG 275 45 20, think the 285 50 are a bit oversized, std 20" size for RRS is 275 40. Will see how they go anyway.

Haven't changed my mind but not sure if I can leave the 19,s in Oz Park after tomorrow. Will probably bring them back to Yanchep. Could meet up somewhere in between on the weekend if that suits.
