Hi everyone,
Just chasing a rear Detroit type locker for my 97 defender 130. Salisbury diff. Anyone know if they can still be picked up for around 650 (and where!) or is it realistically a grand or so now? I think lucky8 in the USA is still cheap but anything local? Thanks

GBR Utah sells them as well, purpose built for the Salisbury as they are Land Rover fanatics as well.
You may just run into some expense because the AUD is so low at the moment, Ive been waiting for it to go up for ages to get a detroit and it just seems to keep going down :(

Thanks for that! yeah the aussie dollar is not helping my cause at the moment. Hopefully it gains some traction so that my defender can also gain some traction...get it? :wasntme:

Lucky 8 sent me the wrong one which I was able to sell off on AULRO at about what I would have lost on the deal. It all got messy & frustrating as I had to prove they got it wrong. On the other hand the extra $50 it cost from Bill at Great Basin Rovers gave me a very pleasant transaction.
Plus, with the wrapping from Lucky 8, I reckon I was lucky to get it at all.

Thanks deejay. Based on some things I read it looks like Great Basin landrover may be a better option!

I have experienced two very good transactions with Lucky8. Must agree about the packaging though.

I've used Lucky 8 for several purchases and they were fantastic. The Detroit in the 101 came from GBR and he was great too.

my Detroit and trutrac both came from GBR, all good, then at a later date I went to purchase bilsteins from GBR and the actual price was nearly twice there website price so didn't happen.
