I have a friend that has an 06 coil Discovery 3, he's looking options on a 2" lift for his D3, currantly he has the Dobinson Springs strut setup, which he has had a good run with, he wants to know if anyone else does a spring and strut for the D3 Coiler.

Also, can the standard LR strut handle a raised spring.

The D3's seem to handle 50 ~ 60mm raised springs with the OEM shockies. Quite a few running around in WA. King Springs also do a set for them.

Cheers,

did this recently and found following options

king springs (yellow springs) $374 set of 4, 40mm raise

Lovells (blue) $400 - 40mm raise

tough dog (yellow) not sure could be kings $480

King springs make KRFR-13 front and KRRR-14 rears std lift or h/duty

Thanks guys, I'll pass all this on, just did my own search as well, apparently TJM do a strut spring combo with a 50mm lift now in their gold series, searched for some info on this and found that Lucky8 in the US recommend the TJM Strut with King springs or King springs with the LR Strut, I can only assume XGS use King Springs for their leafs and coils.

Seems the guys on Prado Point like them also.

Its such a shame that Dobinson dont do a raised set up...they just cannot be beaten for springs.

Cheers

PS. How do the raised coilers go? Can you install aftermarket front and rear lockers?

Dobinson do a 40 to 50mm lift spring/strut combo, that's what he has now, he's just looking for other options.
