Yep have now brought a 1997 Discovery 3.9 auto on gas as a replacement for my old ute. Seems to have been not a bad buy. Only two owners. In 2012 the first owner replaced the motor with a low K`s motor. At that time the Auto also had a major service. Brakes have been overhauled. Gas in date and has been serviced. Full service history. Seems like he has done the hard work then sold it. Is stock standard and has never been off road, may have been used for towing a caravan as it has a 4000 kg tow bar fitted. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2015/09/245.jpg
So will be soon fitting it out for some more serious off road use.

Just got the report back for the roadworthy. Just some minor things. Oil leak from the motor above the filter, oil pump.? Indicator lens a few other minor things, so pretty good for its age. Three items for me to do. Head lining above the windscreen needs resticking for the roady. Just needs to be done, fuel pump replaced (suplied by seller) and the drivers door regulator to replace. So for $ 2500 it will be a cheap enough 4wd. Nearly double started the dam thing this morning. Just a bit quieter than the old ute. :)
