Anybody got a good source for this at the right price? Ive tried links from the mobil site and the yellow pages but not too much luck so far. Rick130 mentioned $180 for 20 litres but the best Ive been able to get is $225 from someone in caboolture who didnt have any stock.

Maybe to do with rising oil prices but if anybody could recommend a good distributor preferably between Hervey Bay and Bris would be appreciated.

cheers

Maurice

you'll find most distributors will have to order Delvac 1 in, I'm just lucky that where I source mine they keep excellent stocks, from 5 litre plastic jugs up to 205 litre drums, as well as the other grades of Delvac.
It wasn't always this way, as I think I was one of the first in the NSW north west to use it four years ago. The distributor was able to find a solitary 20 litre drum in their Narrabri depot, which they shipped down to Muswellbrook for me. These days I just go to their head office at Tamworth. I even bought a 1 litre container of 5w-30 Mobil 1 to use in our new Honda mower and brush cutter cheaper/litre than you can buy Mobil 1 5w-50 at K-Mart !

Delvac 1 has come down dramatically in price in recent years, I first payed $303.00/20 litres four years ago, yet the last (several) drums have been $186.00/20 litres. I've priced it a few times at various other (city) depots and it has always been dearer. I have to buy another in the next few weeks, so we'll see if there's been any price changes.
