Hi All
I need some help with my horn in my 2A. I have the wire spoke steering wheel with the push button in the middle. When I turn the vehicle the horn sounds if you turn a couple of turns of the steering wheel. Has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it.
Cheers

You need new bearings in the top of the steering column.

Hi Bearman
When I had the the column apart I didn't see any bearings and from memory the LR manual said there are 2 different columns and the later type has bearingd and the earlier one has the plastic bush that slips over the end of the column.

Bearing or bush, the horn only needs grounding through the column to go off. Check the wire running up the column, whip the steering wheel off and check the connection and the wiper that runs on the slip ring, then the connection on the slip ring to the horn button. Somewhere in there something's touching that shouldn't be.
