Just bought new phones, received mine :D
Why is it when you get a new phone, "Everything" has to be "updated", I cant do anything untill everything on the comp is reset up with upgraded this and that.
Not to mention passwords. One for this, one for that, but then inside there too is another,,,So many to remember, and I cheat cause I have my own little personal list to check with. (But which to which )
Talk about annoying. What should realistically only be maybe a half hour job, is taking about 4 hours +. Why do they have to make everything so damn impossible??? grrrrr

You have my sympathy. Someone bought me a nice Samsung Galaxy S5 for my birthday, and I spent several days just trying to get it past the swipe screen to unlock. As I was about to crush it or throw it out the window, I heard this little voice from the phone, say 2 finger swipe to unlock. Sure enough it opened with a 2 finger swipe. Then had to go through the on screen setting to change it to a more simple operation. Technology! think I'll go back to my Hello Moto flip jobo.

Oh dear! I've had my old clunker for about 10 years or more and was about to upgrade to something I could see clearer....."My eyes grow old, I cannot see.....". :(
But after listening to quite a few saying about having to be a geek to work them, I might not bother.
Anyway I want one I can just clip to my pocket so it's un-noticeable, not a bloody great thing I've got to walk along the street with it in hand just waiting waiting waiting for that urgent call. :D
Sad load of gits.

There are small, cheaper units out there that do 95% of all the bells and whistles jobbies.
When I got my Samsung S4 I was upgrading from an iphone (hate those damn things). Anyway the Telstra shop just copied across all my phonebooks and data. Was pretty easy for them and saved me the drama of re-inputting everything.

And that my friends, is the best way to do it. Wish I had now. I'm out for lunch to regain my sanity.

I have a HTC phone . Good phone with one problem. Voice messages are a pain to access. If I have more than one I can't access the next message with out closing voice messages then opening voice messages again. You are supposed to press a number but my screen blacks out when you are connected. By the time I get the screen back to press the number voice message has timed out and hung up.

Well, had a yummy lunch in Berwick, cooled off, went back home to see how the download went, and low and behold, its stuffed. It wont work, and apparently I need to delete all files to do with iTunes. So I'm not sure how that effects backups etc.
Had a snooze,, as you do ;) then went and worked on the van,,, so much better for ones wellbeing :D
Really over this comp/phone crap.

Not sure what you are all doing, but my iphone just works. Its super easy to use, has been absolutely problem free and it just does any updates by itself when connected to wifi. Backs itself up whenever I update the playlist via itunes.

I luuuuve my iPhone 5s and my wife loves her old 3G.
I agree they just work and you can update date to a new phone if you save it in itunes.
Of course we got them free as kiddie cast offs, so I don't know of I would pay a grand for a new one. More probably an ALDI special.

In my case, iTunes on my comp is the issue. When I plugged my current 5S in, it wanted to upgrade that, which it did without a hitch, but now I want to get the info from iTunes to put on my new 6S, iTunes wants an upgrade. Ok, so let it go for it, annnnd bam,, total malfunction. :-(
I don't really want the shop to do the transfer, as last time Leeanne got hers done like that, and they "lost" just about everything, including irreplaceable pics of her family etc. She was devistated. What's more, Apple couldn't retrieve anything from their end grrrrrr
