I have a couple of medical conditions that effect me physically. The last one recently diagnosed is low level testosterone. I was put om a replacement program with a warning to watch out for feelings of aggression. Oh if that was my only trouble. I have become a psychological mess with mood swings, paranoia, inability to cope, bursting into tears and so on. My Dr. says the only way to stop these is to wait up to 2 weeks for the stuff to wear off. Hope I survive. Jim

Depending on your age I would check first to see if you have any Prostate problems, Testosterone feeds prostate cancer and if you have an undetected Prostate cancer, more testosterone can advance the cancer further, it would be a brave doctor who ordered this treatment without checking your prostate status, good luck, Regards frank.

Be aware that food allergies can cause testosterone and impotence problems. Did with me until I got off all milk products and gluten. Allergy to milk products confirmed by biopsy and awaiting to hear back from the surgeon re gluten. When they say milk builds bigger bones - take it with a grain of salt!

Jim, the best advice I can offer (from my own previous chronic and current medical conditions..) is to actively take charge of your Health. This will mean doing reading, study, BS filtering, research, more BS filtering...
My GP reached the stage of "presenting" a medication, instead of merely prescribing it. Ditto my Cardiologist. - They can be trained...

If your research points to diverging from (conventional...) medical advice, then I'd personally lean that way. Don't be afraid of discussing it with your GP..... All good Docs like a patient with a functioning brain !

The up-side is... asking *****ly questions will put the GP on notice that you WANT to know and often they respond very positively. It will invariably lift his/her game. - If not, find another.

Pm me if you like, and as a parting shot, "T" levels are high, ok, or low depending on who is doing 'what' test...and who might be paying for the therapy...
At one point my T level was abysmal, yet the symptom(s) were masked by other problems...and only came to light on blood - work. Did nothing about it (medically...) and am still alive !

James in Gosnells.

PS, Radical thought for the day, 'Medicine' doesn't have as many answers as its Priests would like you to think... and they're RONG as often as 'RIGHT'. and there's a reason why the 'non-Medical' approach is called... "Alternate".

PS, I could still be aggressive, annoying and difficult to live with, despite having lower T than most blokes, to put it nicely.

I was on the stuff for 3 months last year. I was on half dose. But this time I was put on a full dose a day. I stopped last year because of a psa spike, but all tests out ok so I was put back on it. Maybe I can't tolerate a full dose. I thought I had had a breakdown or something so I researched possible problems, suspecting an overload of hormone. What I read fitted me to a tee, so I have gone cold turkey until I see my Dr. in 2 weeks.

JX2MAD - stick in there, and all the best - many have been before you and survived.
James/superquag is on the money. Good advice if you can stomach it. He has done a lot of research and probably saved his own life in the process.
Well worth a talk with him - if he lets you get a word in edgewise! GRIN!
