I'm heading to Moreton Island, planning on doing Middle Road in FL2, standard rims and tyres. I am thinking I should be OK if I drop the PSI to c.18, Sand Mode, DSC off. Have MaxTrax + mate with another 4by who can assist if need be.

Am I taking the FL2 beyond it's capabilities on Middle Road or am I just over thinking it? I am a bit worried about being bogged for hours on end and holding everyone up!

Has anyone else taken a FL2 to Blue Lagoon via Middle Road?

Any help will be appreciated!

Cheers

I might be there saturday in mine. Have you got 17, 18 or 19" rims? No problems on 17" wheels but gets harder as the wheels get bigger and the rubber gets thinner. Don't be scared to go down to 15 psi or lower if it's soft. I have 17's and been down to 10 psi on some really soft stuff. Don't make any sharp turns down that low. Never been to Moreton and trying to decide between it and Straddie this weekend.

Middle road should be a breeze......blue lagoon can get very soft/powdery in the parking area but the FL2 should be OK.

Moreton is more 'remote' feeling but Straddie equally as fun in my view. Depends what you want. I'm at Moreton next weekend. If you cant decide between the two, head to Bribie and give it a go up the beach and middle track!

Thanks for the advice too!
