Well, looking into upgrading to Win 10 on the desktop.

Now I find that MS has (for some stupid reason) decided to discontinue Windows Media Centre.

Having just got my TV Tuner card working wonderfully (and easily) with WMC (which has a great UI) I'm pretty ****ed about that !

Everything I am reading about the 'new' Windows 10 program essentially says that you are better off just ditching the TV tuner and buying a separate DVR. Umm, no, not me.

comments include:

On a Media Center PC dedicated to living room use, a Windows 10 upgrade offers nothing of value.

The recommendation is to stick with Win 7 which is allegedly going to be supported until 2020....

I wonder if anyone else has faced these issues and what solution they chose?
